Default Best Mods to make car faster?

I know there is already a thread on this, but I can't find it again. So other than a supercharger or turbocharger what mods can I do to my 06 Z to improve its performance? Best proven brands for those mods?

There are a few things you can do to your car to make it faster without having to spend any money. One thing you should do is completely remove the air intake system. Let the manifold suck the air in from the engine bay. Another mod you can do is remove your cats. The stock cats are very restrictive so by removing it will allow the exhaust gases to flow freely, but do not replace them with any other piping. The exhaust gases will go out of the headers and then get sucked into the exhaust.

Make sure you get some NOS from your local gas station or grocery store. They work like a charm.

A diy port and polish is what worked for me. Usually you would have to take your heads to a shop to do the work, but I found that you can actually do it yourself and save tons of money. It works by taking sand and running it through your engine, I know it sounds crazy, but I've done it myself and I swear it works. When the sand goes into the intake port, it polishes the port which in turn increases the air flow and when it exits out to the exhaust ports, it does the same thing. It does no harm whatsoever to your engine bc it all goes in and out completely, I'm at 3k miles later and she drives amazing, if not better, than before.

Step 1. Remove the filter of your intake system.

Step 2. Find some nice grainy sand somewhere, get about half a pound of it.

Step 3. Fill the intake box, where your intake filter was, with the sand.

Step 4. Duct tape the top of the intake box so no air comes in anywhere else other than the air duct.

Step 5. Start the car and drive around for about 3 miles.

Step 6. Put the filter back into the intake box, all the sand should be gone by now, and enjoy your extra 30whp.

How much does a port and polish cost I might do that? So far I think im going to get:
Tanabe Medallion Touring Exhaust, tanabe y-pipe, helix test pipes
Stillen Intake (maybe get air duct)
Plenum Spacers(Crawford)(motordyne 5/16”)
Spark Plugs(any good brands in particular?)
Cams(any good brands in particular?)
Headers(Should I)
ECU Reflash at the end.

learn to drive your car. you can spend $$$ on bolt-on mods and all the rest of the crap but if you do not know how to drive it, you just wasted your money.

The usual port and polish is a couple grand. That's why I went with my own route, and those mods would go perfect with the sand port polish. If you are scared it might harm your aftermarket parts, just do on the stock intake/headers/exhaust. A tune from dyno revmaster would finish if off nicely.
