wtf?? seriously, where does this pulley go??
Not even joking, so flame away if you must LOL, I have the 3 piece UR pulley set and this idler pulley does not have anywhere to go on my car. There are only 3 bolts where I think it is supposed to go judging by the one pic I have seen of these installed. Only place I would have to put this is the one just above the alternator, but theres no way to mount it. Help a brutha out here. BTW I have an 06 Touring REV engine if that helps
The pic below is where I'm guessing it would go?
The pulley below is the only one big enough and no way for me to mount the UR pulley

lol..........in '06 Nissan changed the pulley configuration on the front of the VQ35DEs motors. there used to be a useless idler pulley.....and that is what your extra pulley is for. The useless pulley was a result of where the original clutched fan pulley was mounted on ealry '03 motors.....(not sure if the z had them or not) in G35 Sedans. When Nissan switched to electric fans in '03.5, they just put a "dead" pulley where the fan pulley used to be. then in '06, Nissan ditched the "dead" pulley and used a little shorter belt.
So, in short, you aren't missing anything. You just have an extra pulley that you can mount on your wall!

I think it was changed in late 2006 production. I know that all the 2007 G35 Coupes were missing the pulley. On my 2005, I took the puilley off and the pulley bracket and then cut one of the "ears" off the bracket. then, I groudn the ear down maing it into a nice round spacer...so I could eliminate the pulley. Later I found out that nissan made a spacer to do the same thing. that is what they used on those late production DE motors.
