Jeffie, nice pics you provided. It does look more simple than i orginally thought...just have to remove a ton of plastic to expose the entire line.
In your second pic, thats def the line that attaches into the firewall closer to the battery compartment. Its the smaller line, the one to the right of the bigger metal line when looking head on at the bay.

Although it's not the best long term solution that could be repaired with a compression fitting (union type) as well, assuming that one could be sourced in the correct size to fit that tubing. Just cut out a small section around the hole and patch the line back together with the union.

Thanks everyone. I am going to stop at a shop on Thursday to see what they think. If it can be patched - then I will def go that route. Here is a zoomed out pic with the line and the problem area circled just for future reference:
