Default Any idea of what could be going on?

Pics are posted below. But as you can see their is what looks like exhaust covering the hood in some spots. If you look at the plenum it looks like there is oil staining it. Any ideas?

I'm guessing leaking head gasket or something along those lines, but wouldn't I fell a loss in power. Haven't experienced anything like this yet so just want to know what it is. Thanks in advance for any helpful info.

been raining a lot? I get residue like that to an extent from just the dirt in the water drying up on the underside of the hood.

If not, then belts.

68k but I just got new belts 2 months ago..

Yeah it rained yesterday a lot but I wasn't driving while it was raining. It was parked. However, when I was driving it was slightly still wet on the roads.

Also, forgot to mention the passengers side valve cover and plenum for that matter have not staining on them like the drivers side has.

If it's the belts. What am I looking for? Some rubbing or just road grime being spit up?

Most likely it was those old belts you replaced already. If not, your new ones are wearing prematurely for some unknown reason.

Well I went to the beach last night and averaged 90mph and it's around 200mi all together. I cleaned the hood to see if something would get on the hood again but there isn't anything there.

I'd take the luck, sometimes things right themselves, though rarely. If it was the belts, when you replaced it that would of been the fix right there...

I'm gonna give this a +1.

Give it some time too. It may come back. Hopefully not...

kinda looks like your oil fill cap was loose or bad gasket on it. its all around the oil cap.
