Towing on a 2 wheel dolly - question
Do I put the front 2 tires on the dolly or the rear 2 tires?
The rental place said I have to disconnect my drive shaft. I was like, "huh?"
Anyone here with experience using a 2 wheel dolly?

How far are you going? Short trip rears on the ground in neutral is no big deal, towing with the rear wheels on the dolly will probably remove your bumper. If its more than a short trip get a full trailer.
Did you read your owner's manual? It's in there.
Don't tow an automatic with the drive wheels on the ground. It'll damage the transmission.
For towing a MT, stop every so often and run the engine for a couple minutes in neutral to keep the internal parts lubricated.
Always tow with the MT in neutral. It actually says that in the OM.

Rent a full car trailer. Last time I rented one (year ago?) there was only a $15 difference between the dolly and the full trailer. I now own my own trailer, no more renting!

I tried yesterday to put my front 2 tires on a 2 wheel dolly and learned that I need to remove my bumper to get it up there. Waste of 60$
It's only a difference of 10$ to get the flatbed. Should of went that route that way to begin with. But why is this lady at the rental place arguing with me telling me that I would have to disconnect my drive shaft. I told her I have a manual transmission. She telling me to go google it. LOL
I say, "whatever lady!"
