Question Rough shifts after VB change on 5AT

After a drift session that I had last winter VB on my 5AT died (stuck in Safe Mode 4th gear). It took some time to figure out what is wrong and some further time to get a replacement VB.
I swapped it for the replacement VB and now I have these realy rough shifts 1-to-2 and 2-to-3. The car kind of jumps forward and the rear end looses traction for a part of a second.
Also, at full throttle it would bounce several times off redline before shifting into higher. No fun at all .
ATF is brand new Nissan Matic and filled to norm.
The new VB came from a scrapyard, hence I am guessing incompatibilities with the ECU (I've heard some different versions exist)?
Any other ideas would be much appreciated.

I am not sure that it'll help, if there is some underlying problem.
The replacement VB although from a scarpyard is basically new (car had less than 5k miles). Forgot, to mention that mine is 04 5AT (internal TCM) with ~40k miles.

did you get the new valvebody reprogrammed to your car? heard only dealers can do this since there is some info associated with the transmission and your VB

I did not. And it leaves me guessing whether indeed some reprogramming is needed. Can somebody confirm or deny this, please?

Your car is an 04 5AT, but what year/model did the VB and TCM come from?

VB part numbers from 04, 04.5, and 05 are all different in the Nissan parts system. I suspect you need to find a VB specifically for your car for it to work properly. Check your PMs.
