I'm about to get this combo.

Will it ruin my audio experience? I keep the music decently loud, and the car is meant to be a weekend warrior anyway.

No. You should be fine. The only time you can really hear it in the car is at idle, and even then it's not that noticeable until there is a wall or something to bounce the sound back into the car. (Sitting in the garage is the worst, with idling at a drive-thru window a close second.)

Here's what mine sounds like in the garage..

Same. Do you guys ever wonder if your car already has an aftermarket part when you buy it used? Obviously talking about ones that you can't easily identify.

It would really suck to buy a lightweight FW/clutch combo, drop the tranny, and discover you already had one, lol.

What you are hearing is the crank pulses from each time the cylinders fire. The stock dual mass absorbs this as does the heavier DXD Billet steel flywheel.
The engine firing pulses make the input/mainshaft of the trans rattle.

I considered it. My clutch and flywheel are off right now. I'm pretty sure the clutch is stock, but I didn't even really look at the flywheel.

Does anyone know if this added noise/vibration does any notable damage to the drivetrain or is it just annoying. I'm looking at either an ACT or SPEC clutch and flywheel combo

Damage should be negligible at best, but I would suggest a steel flywheel (like ACT) after seeing the problems I've encountered with my JWT Aluminum unit after a couple of removals. From what I'm guessing the aluminum units require great care when bolting up (which most people give it) in the special sequence, but few remove it in the similar sequence which can attribute to damaging the thread of aluminum. Just my 2 cents.

hey all, apologies for the 9 year thread bump. I started to experience the exact noises described in this thread with my JWT clutch and aluminium flywheel. That low rpm noise with the JWT clutch which I recognised immediately, then I got also this high buzzing noise which I think it coming from the flywheel. the buzzing sound comes at low rpm and comes again between 3.5k rpm and 4.5k rpm. the low clutch noise been there since I installed JWT clutch but this other buzz sound emerged after about 6k miles of use, which I think is probably coming from the aluminium flywheel. Is there a risk of damaging the engine/gear box if I keep driving it with these noises ? or should I just replace the clutch and a steel flywheel ? to solve these noises and avoid risk of damage.

Also, what clutch flywheel would you guys recommend to solve these annoying sounds and is good for street use ? I am planning to go turbo 550 BHP so I need to buy a strongish clutch.
