Default VQ35DE or VQ35HR?

I have a 2006 nissan 350z and I was just wondering if it was the DE or HR? I was under the impression 06 was when the HR was created but when I got on GTM website to find engine components and was selecting my make, year, model and when I came to the engine I was only able to select the DE. Is that right? Not to disrespect GTM I'm sure it's my mistake but I was just curious.

and the rev-up is only available 6-speed... BTW if you don't know what engine you have in your car you shouldn't buy "engine components".

He will learn over time, one step at a time. Just drive the hardest of your car first then upgrade. I don't think u want to driving a wild horse when u can't even hold on to a baby horse.

Well I will admit I have a lot to learn but it's not like I haven't driven more powerful cars than mine a lot. My father has a 2010 camaro SS with 425 HP which is a lot more than mine. It also weighs a whole lot more than my car. I hate it. It's a tank. It's one beautiful machine though.

im not saying you cant drive powerful cars... not taking any credit from the camaro... but it is the same old american story... big car, big motor, boxy styling, and now it is "new" I was more impressed with the cobalt SS... atleast it was something different... and chevy tried to compete with the imports...

Ya I would like to get more power out of my car though. I think 400rwhp would suffice.

400whp can only be achieved 3 ways:
1: forced induction... which if you are going that route then might as well do it right and go for 500 with a built motor... cause in about a month you will be yearning for more!!!
2: engine swap VK or LS (any V8, V10, V12) you can fit in the engine bay... down time and budget determine the route there... and you will have a pretty potent Z then but will quickly loose its shock factor and you will want to add forced induction to your swap... compounding the cost!!!
3: the money is not an option, option... well you can but in a flux capacitor and go where you don't need roads!!! then you need gullwing doors and that is a no no
