Oil cooler & Gauges install
I need to install my oil cooler & oil pressure gauge but I'm a bit unsure of the best way to go about it
I currently have a GReddy oil block adaptor fitted which I've taken the oil tempurature reading from.
I have waiting to be installed an AAM oil pan spacer & a Mocal oil block adaptor.
Heres my problem. I need 2 1/8th NPT ports so that I can run both my oil pressure & oil temp gauges. I also need 2 ports for my oil cooler.
The mocal adaptor is thermostatic & I plan to use that for the oil coller install.
The oil pan spacer has 2 ports for my oil cooler but only 1 1/8th port.
I was planning to buy the GTM oil sender adaptor kit but shipping is more than the product costs to get it to the UK.
So, is it best that I ditch the thermostatic adaptor & fit the oil cooler into the oil pan & use the greddy block adaptor for the gauges?
Or can I run 2 block adaptors?

Doesnt the Greddy block only have 1 male NPT port? Or 2?
Personally, i would rather run the cooler from the thermo sammich plate as opposed to the pan. No real solid reason why i would do this, it just seems to me that the sammich plate would be a better bypass point for the cooler due to the fact that it is at a great flow point to catch the oil at.
I would rather run gauges from the pan spacer.
But, your idea seems like it would work just fine. Cooler from pan, gauges from block adaptor.

I would prefer to run the oil cooler from the thermostatic plate aswell. I might see about getting an extra port tapped into my oil pan spacer so I can run both gauges from there & fit the termo plate
I think running 2 plates will be the easiest (cheapest
) option
Next question
Is it best to take the oil temp or pressure from the pan?
When running 2 plates, thermo or normal one nearest the filter? or no difference?

Why even bother with a pressure gauge? Apparently it is the only reason why you are having to create an akward setup here and spend more money.
Run oil temp from spacer, and cooler from thermo sammich plate, and call it a day.
