Sikky 350z/G35 LSX swap
i have read all 11 pages in this tread. must say i like. has sikky made a ls2 auto kit for a g35? was thinking about sc the vq. i think it will be more reliable ls2 swap then put the sc on it. with the ls2 sitting much lower i can keep the stock hood on the car.
actually it will be cheaper if you just bought a SC...what does the stock hood have to do with SCing the VQ? i hope you are not thinking of stillen... you got a lot of research to do
yeah i was thinking on the stillen sc it says the stock hood wouldnt fit with the sc. i will do more research on the sc thanks. my car has 193k miles on it so i would have to build it before i could sc or turbo it. so i was leaning toward the ls2 swap. but my car is an auto but i havent found if they make a ls2 auto swap for my car. can someone tell me if they do.
On an additional note, the oil pan has no provisions for an oil temp sensor, perhaps it's not needed with a 8 quart pan (closer to 9 with a oil cooler) but I'm a nerd and like to know where I'm sitting on critical parameters while I'm at the track. Especially if I'm investing $10k+ on this swap.

they cant drill a hole into the side of the pan for the sensor?.. doesnt sound so hard... you can also run an adapter and get the temperature by the oil filter .. no the best accurate .. but something
I just talked with Sikky and they claim the exhaust outlet of the header is 3.5" Also the coated headers have a V-band while the uncoated are bare so the user can weld on whatever they want. So if you want to add your own wideband you'll want an uncoated header so you don't ruin the finish, then you'll need to add the cost of coating them if you so choose to as well as the cost of the flange of your choice and welding. Also I'll need to get a reducer for each header since I'm going with a dual 3", not 3.5"

yeah 3.5 " from headers back would be a little over kill as its not required for NA. Im planning on running this setup.. 3.5" headers > motodyne 3" ypipe with resonator > 3" nismo midpipe w/ resonator . I havnt decided on the muffler yet..thinking the magnaflow

I ordered a magna flow (dual 3" in and out) also, no resonators though....I'm guessing it's going to be loud as hell.
qtb, thanks for the heads up. i have the uncoated headers lol. vbands would be nice lol.
anyways got some goods
GCRE built low comp ls1/built heads, typhoon 85mm intake manifold/rails, built t56, and a turbonetics gtk1000

with sikky headers

lovely clearances

gtk1000, pretty small i must say

I have a question about the headers, specifically the ones with 1-7/8" primaries. What sort of outlet flange do they have or does the user have to weld one on? What size is the outlet, I would assume 3"? Also how many O2 sensors are on them? Can I fit the OEM and a wideband or will I have to install the second bung myself?
These would all be good things to have on your website....just my $0.02

We have a trans mount in the works for the camaro/firebird/Gto auto trans. Most people that have allready done this with our kit have just modified the one for the 6 speed to work with the auto. I believe it's fairly close.
