LS motors aren't indestructible miracle engines touched by the hands of GOD. Any engine would fail if you tried to push it to it's mechanical limits. Hell the stock rods in the LS2 become compromised at around 450HP not to mention all the other parts that are prone to failure before you even get to that point. Best of luck on the 480-500hp goal.

Suggestion
Really.... and what exactly do you know about my situation with the motors? Like 3 of them never even made it to my posession... hard for me to make it fail if I don't ever drive it. As far as I'm aware I used many of the best parts on the market and got repeatedly poor results.

As someone whom is unfamiliar with the LS and its many variations, reading the LS1Tech forum is like learning a foreign language. I am asking other members here questions and seeking input as well as trying to educate myself at the same time. If I need to build an LS block to eventually get the power I want, then I will. I have no idea why you would come at me with all this BS and negativity.

It would have been nice to see your car and ask you some questions, but apparently I have pissed in your cheerios. Thanks for the advice

Your entire Z engine build swap drama has been posted all over this forum for a number of years now. You haven't exactly gone out of your way too keep it a secret.

Look. You may think that I may have some invested interested in you personally but I can assure you I really don't. You did not "pissed in my cheerios" or anything of the sort. If you have a question to ask me directly about this swap or anything else I may have knowledge of simply send me a PM and I'll help if I can. I wasn't trying come at you with BS and negativity, I was just simply stating my opinion based on what I know of your situation. If you take it personally then that's your issue not mine.

Actually he's always been a dick to anyone who has asked a question about the LS swap. Maybe he thinks he's a bouncer at the door and its sort of some exclusive club. I don't see the big deal, 2 of my friends already pulled off the swap.

Yeah I don't see what the big deal is anyway. Frankly I'm sick of it. However, I'm not going to give this dude anymore of my energy.

bbs/vas/anyone - what size injectors are you guys running? I'm considering an 05-06 LS2 dropout, but am still unsure if this is the right setup. I believe it is DBW, not cable, and bbs said there is an injector size limit as well. I'm sure I won't need to worry about this right away, I just don't want to be limited down the road or have tons of issues if I just want to add more bolt on NA power.

It is a full dropout with everything except the pedals for $6K + shipping. I have tried to compare prices to other motors, but sourcing all the accessories, mounts and such makes this very tedious. Plus, this will get me on the road asap as long as the DBW doesn't cause any issues. You guys are all using cable right? Can the LS2 TB be converted to cable or just swap TB to a cable system (maybe the FAST 102mm TB with the 102mm intake)?

I hope this doesn't turn into a snobby Big Wallet Exclusive Club like having FI used to be. There's a huge opportunity for a new frontier to share tech here...

Phreak I don't think this will turn out that way. Out of all the guys that have swapped LS's in their Z's he's been the only one that has been a **** about it. I don't think that one rotten apple will spoil the bunch. I see a new crowd of people that will be strikingly different with respect to LS swaps vs. the FI hawks.

FYI, majority of the LS people are FI people.

I think Havok was the 2nd or 3rd person to do a LS swap, so maybe he just let that get into his head a bit.

I'd do like royal said and do some research on ls1tech. Some info ppl are posting on here isn't correct.

^ So provide a link to the correct information instead of saying they're wrong. Prove it with evidence to remove doubt and help others learn the correct bits of information in the process. Why is that people tell each other this and that's wrong but don't even bother to explain why or provide a link?
