Default gargaling sound after clutch install

i just installed a competition stage 4 clutch a and flywheel yesterday. when i accelerate i hear a noise that sounds like the exhaust. when i hold the gas pedal and stay at the same speed there is no sound. but when i push the pedal down i hear the noise. its a constant kind of gargling noise that a v8 makes. im guessing i didnt bolt the y pipe on tight enough? just wanted to get some input before i get down there.

this clutch is pretty aggressive by the way. very noisy ha
thanks

I am assuming you installed an aluminum flywheel with the kit??? The gargling comes from 1,000 to 2,500 rpm's.... Right? This is perfectly normal, the noise is due to the lightened flywheel. I installed the nismo clutch kit with the aluminum flywheel... same exact gargle. Can be annoying at first, you will get used to it. No worries...

No it's not that. It dosent sound clutch related. It's in all rpms. All gears. I'm still at work so I haven't been able to get under the car. It sounds like the exaust. Or maybe hr driveshaft is not aligned right...

hmmmm, not sure man, try and double check everything you did to the car. Sounded like the usual complaint of a lighter weight flywheel at first. Good luck with it. It is probably something minor.

i didint want to start a new thread but i will if i must.

now that my clutch is broken in i finally flored it. the shifting is alot harder at high rpms than before, and shifting at lower rps is notchier than before. is that normal with an aggressive clutch like this?

Not really normal, A performance clutch should shift easier but if they don't release well from bad design they can be harder to shift. Also may want to check adjustment to make sure you are getting a full release of the clutch when you push the pedal.
Where does your engagment start when letting the pedal up?

the engagement is pretty low, i wanted to lower the pedal cuz there is so much "play" above the engagement. could that be it? or should i be concerned. but clutch pedal to the floor it feel like its at full release.

You need to adjust the pedal, Full release won't happen if it releases right off the floor.
The problem with that is it will eventually wear the syncros in the trans from dragging the gears all the time.
