Default APS 3" true dual, to install or not to install?

I have a APS true 3inch dual exhaust. It came with the car but not installed. I was wondering if I should install it or sell it. I saw some vids on the sound and thought that it takes away from the factory Z sound... maybe it was the video quality. I was thinking the Nismo S-tune with my turbo kit would sound nice....

Anyways.. .just wanted to see what everyone's opinion about the sound is before i make the decision...maybe some thought on the N/A sound and FI with the exhaust

hmm maybe should research a lil more, if your car has a turbo kit on it or about to be put on it i would go with a true duel and not a single to duel exit.

I installed my APS 3" Dual prior to putting on my turbo kit -- very loud (but it will put a smile on your face). After putting on the tt kit, the noise level was reduced to what I deem to be a respectable "civil" with a nice growl. So if you are going FI, I would use it. If not, I would go with a 2.5 dual.

What happens if 5 members say yes and 5 say no? Then you are back to where you started.

There's a lot more to an exhaust than just sound. For NA, 3" dual is too big. If you care about the performance, don't do it. You'll loose noticeable low end with this type of setup and you'll gain very little at the top. This exhaust was meant for an FI application where you want a lot more flow. Exhaust size has to be properly matched to the engine to maintain good gas flow and promote scavenging. Just saying.

hmmm... good points made. Maybe I will put it up on the classifieds... A 2.5" is enough for a single turbo kit so that is what i will be looking for. It is a very nice exhaust... excellent quality but I do agree that it is overkill... I think even for a single turbo application...

So next question, for those that used the APS dual for single turbo applications, do you run into the loss of low end power also?

You say you have a turbo kit, throw the 3 inch exhaust on and try it out.

So thanks everyone... I appreciate the opinions. I think It might be good to sell/trade and get a 2.5 inch exhaust. I hate to do it though... it is such a nice system... :-(
