Default 350z tranny swap

So I'm really thinking of doing this since I don't plan on selling the car. I have an auto 350z which is pretty sad i know. I miss driving my 6speed g35 but I had to sell it. Has anyone attempted an auto to manual tranny swap?

I know a shop who would do the swap which is paladin in las vegas.

You would need the following: Tranny, tranny mounts, shift linkages, shifter, console for inside the car to accept the shifter, ECU from a manual, COMPLETE engine/tranny wiring harness from the manual, clutch master cylinder, hydraulic lines, clutch pedal assembly, flywheel from the manual car, exhaust from the manual because the tranny is a little larger than the auto, and quite a bit of time.

prepare for flames from others tho

theres a couple of peeps that have done it

Sounds like an expensive idea, you might be better off getting an MT 350z instead

I would just trade in the auto and buy a 6mt Z.

Definitely not worth the effort, especially since the auto is better than the manual. What does it do/not do that makes you unhappy?

It works really, really well. And it appears to keep working really well for a long time. Shifts are silky smooth in normal driving, crisp and solid in spirited driving, and it probably shifts faster than 95% or more of MT drivers can. Definitely the work of the A-team at Nissan.

The B-team gave you the breaking pivot bolts, hydraulic lines that get too hot, pedals that stick to the floor, the ill-conceived concentric slave cylinder, and hydraulic actuation systems that require superhuman skills and weird incantations to bleed.

...and a transmission that doesn't make the driver fall asleep at the wheel due to boredom.

Did you forget about the B team that gave you a trans cooling system that causes the trans to go into limp mode in just a few laps.?
