Default Oil pump lifespan? Worries on High-Milage VQ?

Howdy,
Starting to look at the Z/G market, and curious about a couple things.

On the early Z's and G's (03-06) how long do the oil pumps normally last?

Any issues with higher milage engines (100k+)

Thinking of picking one up for a daily, and genuinely curious if the milage is even really relevant on these. Thoughts/experiences?

No issues yet for most. Only cars that see high rpm for longer than normal periods of time ( roadcourse ) have problems

The oil pump will last about 80,000 miles.

After 100,000 miles the motor will begin to lose compression and leak oil. It will run of course, but not nearly as well as a motor with 50,000 miles.

I'm pretty sure I drifted a car at an event today that by post #3 would have exploded in fiery death...

Curious about observed oil pump failures and stuff. I know on the old VG/KA stuff the things would last an insanely longtime, but with the LS1 stuff I normally mess with they're crappy cast gears you have to swap.

Just ignore David, he throws some random crap around all the time. I've got 135k on mine right now, goes to the roadcourse about 15 events a year (believe i'm on borrowed time) and still going strong 25% leakdown max. Drifting does beat them up worse then roadcourse, if your concerned swap it out to a rev up oil pump, i would if i was a drifter.

just over 4 years , and i put 100k on it so far.

Drifting you are holding it off the limiter a lot more than a roadcourse car, thats why i say to swap to the rev up pump.

Do you know if either use cast or billet gears?

I've had my z for 8 years now and have 160k+ miles now. Oil pump and oil pressure are still very strong. I recently added an oil cooler and the pump is still doing great.

How long have you had your car?

So its safe to say I don't need to be overly paranoid on these like LS1's crappy cast oil pumps?

This guy posts the most ridiculous statements when it comes to car maintenance and repair. My only guess is its a horrible attempt at sarcasm and joking.
