How does VDC/TCS cut power
I am curious if the ecu pulls fuel or timing from the motor when the traction control is engaged...there is a definite power loss. I am asking because I wonder how this would affect a timing computer installed on say a Vortech kit.....for that matter even a J&S Ultrasafeguard.

I've heard that TCS modulates the throttle. Since we have a drive-by-wire system, the ECU is in full control of our throttle at all times.
VDC also independently modulates the four brake calipers for dynamic control of the vehicle.
I'm not 100% sure of this information, though. I'm hoping to obtain a service manual soon, and at that point I will hopefully be able to confirm this, among other things.
