Default Remove Bolt on left side

Remove the dark 10mm bolt on the left side of the intake manifold using the 10mm wrench. This bolt is just behind where the plastic engine cover attaches, it holds down a loomed wire bracket

Default Battery Connection

Remove the nut holding the negative (-) battery terminal using the 10mm wrench. There is no need to remove the battery terminal.

Connect the loose end of the 30” wire to the battery terminal. Replace nut. Use the 10mm socket and driver to secure. Note: You may pass the wire under the battery cover or through the rubber fitting to the battery compartment by punching a small hole.

Default Almost done!

Secure any loose wires by using zip ties wherever needed. Trim off excess zip ties.

Replace engine cover.

Enjoy the smoothness!

Default Please notice!

Please notice:

After doing several of these grounding kit I have noticed that the original lengths of cable provided by the Nissan Grounding Kit were too long!

As you know, the shortest distance between two points is a straight line. Yadda, yadda.

So, I decided to tidy things up a bit and take accurate measurements of how much cable was actually necessary.

As a result, you have a much neater and cleaner looking install.

Tailor made, if you will.

Enjoy!

Wink BTW

If anyone wants the first black kit I made that was in my car originally, email me.

Since it was already in my car and I can't and wouldn't sell it as new...

The first $60 gets it!

Lightbulb For the DIY'r

I've seen people requesting sources for colored "Monster" cable.

Here are a couple:

Scosche Industries - http://www.scosche.com/efx/products/powercable.asp

Tsunami Autosound - http://www.tsunami-autosound.com/cab...e_&_wire_h.asp

Have to say that is one informative post. I am looking forward to receiving your kit. Installing it will now be a piece of cake!

I do have a question or two based on this:

what is the difference between these cables and your cables?

Different amount of strands? Better conductivity? You do not mention the spec's on yours. Is there a difference, at all?

To be honest, I did not think of these until I saw your links!

Default “Monster” Cables.

I purchase my cables from a local audio electronics supplier. They cater to people who do audio installs.

Pretty much all of the high quality audio cable are the same, that I've seen. Except of course pure silver cables!

The cables I use are high purity, oxygen free copper wire, 4 gauge, high-amperage power cable. 105-degree C high temperature / chemical resistant, non-gripping jacket. Either 1666 - 36 ga. total strands or 413 - 30 ga. total strands type cable, whatever the dealer has on hand.

I do not have any hard data to support conductivity vs. strand content.

Remember, all we are doing here is grounding the engine components. This isn’t a high-end audiophile install.

Like I said, I did not even think about those things until YOU posted the link.

I LOVED THE INFORMATIVE THREAD, as well as the install pic's/instructions.

I am looking forward to receiving mine.

I promise to post the quickness in which I received them (after payment to you, which has been done) the quality of the workmanship and the ease of install.

I additionally liked the fact that you accept PAYPAL.

How come you never mention that in the thread?

Once again, thanks,

I look forward to receiving them!!!!!!!
