I would suggest Braille Batteries. These are mainly purposed for track use, with weight reduction as the primary goal. However, it may be used for street use and everyday driving.

I guess the whole hype about theses batteries is they say they are supposed to last 5 times longer than acid batteries, but i think ill take my chances before spending a $1000 on a battery. lol

Curious - exactly how much less does a "lightweight" battery weigh, and is it truly enough to make any more difference in a lap time than a hiccup? Most of us are not exactly professional racers trying to shave 1/10 of a second off our lap times. 10 pounds one way or the other is not going to make a damn bit of difference.

Why not just relocate the battery to the back? I think the weight distribution would benefit you more the just losing ~10lbs.

I just put a yellow top in a couple week back. If it was lighter, I couldn't feel the difference.

Well think of it this way; When you start removing weight from a car, such as extra seats, plastic panels, spare tire, put lighter engine parts, remove air conditioning,, lighter suspention, lighter wheels, etc.. all of the stuff starts to add up. soon enough you'll be a couple hundred pounds less, and the car will have less weight to move.

If you aren't one of those people who's need for a lighter battery isn't a necessity, then why worry about it? Just buy a normal Walmart battery.
