Default Rev Up Complete Swap

I know this has been talked about a good bit and have researched a bit and got a little info from each thread and hoping to put it together and confirm a few things..

Ill be swapping a single turbo rev up (complete engine) into my 03z. The guy is going to a Ls swap so ill be getting EVERYTHING besides his wireing harness. After researching i found that theres an extra cam sensor on the heads but given that im getting the complete set up all ill need to buy would be a wire harness since he'll be getting his harness custom for the LS swap. and for ECU he is using Split Second. which ive heard/read isnt that great. So given my situation, a Engine harness and a standalone (utec/haltech) then id be Good to go correct? Thanks!

youd need harness, ecu, key reprogramming. with any standalone youd still need the oem ecu to operate NATS etc.

Thanks! I've saw that some have trouble with used ecu's but as long as you get you register the ecu to your car/keys you'll be fine correct?

I thought you could run a rev-up like a DE and just not plug in the additional cam sensors. I believe it was Turbo Tim that told me that.

See, I read that somewhere also. But might as well get a rev up harness and just run it with the rev up complete engine. Not like I'm peicing this thing together.

i think you were right. i recall something about that.

op theyre are 4 cam sensors out back, as well as positioning sensors up front on the front timing cover (blue and green plug). the de does not have these.

Those plugs are for rev up heads on a non rev up block/non rev up harness. Since I'll be doing a COMPLETE rev up swap I shouldn't have a problem given I use the rev up ecu/harness/re-program key fobs.
