Project 600zilla - LS2+T56 350z swap
same here ^^^^ went to drive the car only had 1,3,5, and Reverse. In a side note got cruise control on my car now, now just to finish up some testing with the tach it works but just making sure we are getting accurate readings through out the full RPM range

Target is 500rwhp. The engine did 480rwhp through an auto trans in a 2006 GTO so with the T56 and a couple of other tweaks it should be dead on, give or take a couple ponies.
very nice. I have been contemplating a LS swap since the 1st word of them. Now with a little girl on the way im deciding whats going to be my hobby Harley Davidson or buy an 03 Z wrecked or whatevers cheapest and LS swap. hmm

I've found that your budget will ultimately come down to exactly what your goals are for the car. I firmly believe that an LSx swap can be done in the $10k-$12k range and still dish out a very reliable 400rwhp. Most people that are doing the swap are shooting for much more and the swap will end up costing more overall. Once I get the swap done I will be doing a long write up on my impressions of the overall process and come with a best bang for the buck swap guide for people planning on very strict budgets.
in for the fueld kit as well. its amazing that it utilizes the stock gto shifter, so id imagine the motor sits further back too?
this sikky shifter is notchy as hell, i have to hit it with the fist of thor to get this bish in another gear

I already have a write up on g35 driver and ls1 tech for the budget lq9 way
It really all matters where you get the motor and trans from. If you can get the cheap 1q9 for 600$ -1200$ and a trans for the same but you have to remember you get what you pay for when it comes to used parts.
As for the Fueld kit it does sit a little farther back than this sikky kit in order to retain the stock shifter. This seems like a pain in the *** if you have to ever change the spark plugs.
For the sikky kit they have new short shifters in and ill be getting mine this week to start some testing on this batch to make sure they are good to go. I hope they changed it A LOT this thing sucks!!!!!!!!!!!!!

brew, any hindsight on the lq9" whats different about it vs ls1? figure if i blow my motor, ill pick up an iron block and have it swapped in overnight.
gf's flowing the cherry joose, i've been practicing.
please let us know how the new sikky shifter is. I've bought my engine and transmission and need to decide which company to buy the swap kit from. Only think holding me back from sikky is the shifter.
i wonder if i can return my pos shifter. never used. only hate-fukked shifted.

then if you ever have any problems with it we will make sure you get taken care of and get the problem resolved for you as quick as possible. They use a moroso pan and other than a pan leaking or something there are not any problems that you can have. The drive shaft can only fit one way and same goes for the mounts and headers.

C'mon guys. Isn't there is a Sikky thread you go and ***** about their shifter in? I'm all for the sharing of information but this threadjacking is getting ridiculous. Logan, don't you have your own build thread to talk about how awesome your setup and company is? I'm glad you have completed your swap and it runs great and I'm glad you are here to share your knowledge and experience. Let us that haven't done the swap yet enjoy OUR build thread without some know-it-all taking over.

I can take pictures of the baffling if you'd like. On a side note, we have some mutual acquaintances (Aaron and Elliot from Sioux Falls, SD). I've been hearing a lot about your build. You've got some cool engineering into yours. Wish I had some of those skills.

Looks like I will be stopping by Fueled Racing this evening on my way to El Paso for the holidays. I'll be taking pictures and asking questions for all the good boys and girls. Any requests while I'm there?
