ls6 350z build thread!
Nice and easy fix right there 04.350z. Thanks for the write up and man that really sucks about the engine.
Also do you know what the spec is for that plug on the driver side if we want to put a breather there

Sorry for the lack of updates on my thread.
turns out i destroyed 3 rods on the process.
Got my motor back last week from Hedricks Precision Engines.
Replaced 3 rods
replaced piston rings
all new rod bearings
all new cam bearings
all new main bearings
honed cylinder walls
hot tanked the block heads and pan.
new lifters
and new valve spring locators.
the reason for the new locators was because TSP did not provide them with their kit. they said their kit was a direct install. which apparently isnt true. installed height for the valve spring they provided is 157lbs at inch 800. mine was at 202lbs at inch 800.whcih was fine for the 6 miles i drove the car before she blew up but would have eventually destroyed my heads. BEWARE! make sure and measure your installed height!
in between all this i have been moving into a new home. the z now has a 2.5 car garage all to her self.
this weekend i installed all front accesories, clutch and flywheel, transmission and most of the wiring harness. I would post pictures but its nothing you guys havent seen previously in my thread.
all thats left is to put her all back together which will hopefully be next weekend.
only thing left to buy is a oil pressure gauge that will be accurate with the ls6 sensor. any suggestions?
thanks,
enjoy

Awesome thread, I really enjoyed reading this build. Best of luck when it's back together, sounds mean with that single. Do you have a total build price if you don't mind me asking?
Oil pump failers are very rare; the most common reason for no or very low oil pressure on a LS build is reusing the old pickup tube O-ring or pinching the new one when installing the tube into the oil pump. Be very careful with this new build and have an oil pressure gauge working when you start it.

car is finished. and running/ drivable.
still needs to be tuned because i am running a map only setup runs but mildly rough.
i have a coolant leak from my water pump which is an extremely easy fix but i am lazy so it will get done over the winter.
ill be taking it to topuge factory in chicago. just to have a full inspection done everything ran though just to make sure she is ready for the track next year.
after they finish the inspection ill be dropping it off at speed inc also in the chicago area to tune her up.
im glad this bastard child is finished.
even though i kinda want to sell the z now and build something else.

Pass wanting to go.back.the import route motor wise smooth torque wasnt for me. Not happy with the swap. Its a good swap just isn't what i was looking.for i guess. Or maybe Im just over this car after i blew her up.once.

My seat pressure were set to 250-255 lbs and I have about 0.660 lift with 850 lb/in springs

Can't wait to see it up and running at the track!

car sounds like sex
