Default Best LSD Nismo, Cusco, KAAZ?

I have seen many posted about all these makes. Everyone seems to like them all. Which one would you go with if you had a +500rwhp Z used for drag racing?

Why do you want a diff for a drag only car? Just have the diff welded. Cheaper, no chance of power transfer issues, lighter than an LSD.

However if you want to drive the car and turn every on and again. Cusco. Can be setup in 2 diff configs and multiple levels of lockup.

The car is still going to be a street driven car. Just need something stronger than the factory unit.

The nice thing about the Nismo unit is it's a complete kit. Click the link and there is a nice picture there as well... http://www.performancenissanparts.co...products_id=59

I did the KAAZ 2 way in my car and am extremely pleased with it. It is a little noisy at the 60% lock configuration but it absolutely changes the way you can deliver power in the corners.

Have you actually driven a car w/ the ATS carbon lsd? I'd like to hear your opinion. In theroy it sounds good, just curious if it lives up to the claims.

If your talking about doing a install into a base non lsd equipped car, yes they are the only one that offers all the parts you require. But not very many people are up to speed on base install's. Doing the stock LSD swap like I did requires all the same parts and work that installing a clutch type does.

I trust Kaaz, but the adjustability of Nismo is a definite plus.

In the end I'll be waiting for an OS Giken. By waiting for it, I mean waiting till I can afford it. Or waiting till I need it. Or waiting till I pull my credit card out of my wallet.

I have a base, so I have to get a substantial amount of other parts if I get the OS diff.

equipped diff part number 38440-0C000. (Totals very close to $400)

Yes, all aftermarket LSD's are at this time. No gear types on the horizon.
