if you want to carry more oil, you should consider a larger oil pan. There were posts recently about an aftermarket pan, not sure who was making it. I think it gets you up to about 6 or 7 quarts of oil.
Another way to run a tad more oil is to install a remote mount oil cooler. Nick at ntechengineering.com is working on one right now and should have it to market soon. You might be able to run abuot a half-quart more oil... plus you will keep your oil cooler.
Hope that helps....

There are numerous excellent threads on oil and filters that you can dig up here and on freshalloy and g35driver that go into real detail on oil and filters. So this will just summarize.
Basically, consider going to a Purolator Pure One or Mobil 1 filter instead of the stock, because they have metal and not cardboard endcaps. I use the larger M110 filter, a touch bigger than the stock size match M108. Both available at Autozone. They are still shockingly small compared to what we may have been used to with cars of the 60's vintage, and you do not need to use more oil than the standard 5 quarts on the change.
If you want to get really filter fanatic, take a look at the Amsoil bypass dual filter set up. Takes out particles smaller than one micron. Testimony about getting 500,000 miles on an engine and then tearing it down, only to find wear equivalent to typical 80,000 miles. I don't think many of us are going to keep this car for that kind of time or use, and the application is better for big long haul trucks and "keeper" equipment like tractors and loaders. But it is an interesting read and educational, at www.amsoil.com
Good luck.
