very different aluminum the stuff the crash bar is made of is extremely soft, strut bar is going to be made out of a similar aluminum to what forged aluminum wheels are made out of. the crash bar is softer then even our cast intakes. not to mention a couple people have apparently tested and have no noticeable performance with or without the strut tower bar on road courses where chassis stiffness is going to be the most important.
all the chassis stiffening is going to need to be around the the suspension and back anyway, theres nothing at the front of the car that will affect the handling handling or need stiffening anyway because the car has a strong chassis and stiffening right where the suspension components mount anyway. anything outside the wheel base isnt going to matter except to mount body panels too
