Anyone know if there is an aftermarket starrter available that bolts to the driver side of the trans instead of the stock passenger side?

or another nissan 6mt car were the starter is bolted on the driver side instead of the passenger?

I have to delete the passenger side starter to make room, and would like to install a starter on the driver side.

I thought the starter can be bolted to either side but if it is different then just buy a JDM starter. ie: UK/Australia as the oem bell housing supports the starter on either side.

 

Look into the HR starter , it's on the other side if I remember correctly

 

That is what I was thinking also, but I just pulled the engine and the first thing I tried was switching. did not fit. I looked up pictures of RHD starters and the housing brackets are mirrored.

The problem is ordering it is kind of weird since the part # is the same.

I purchased one from Australia so hope it is mirrored but I was trying to have a backup US version. Im going to look into the HR starter.

This is the last issue for my build, and fingers crossed im smooth sailing.

 

just looked up FX35 M35 G35 all starters are on passenger.

I've seen some pics of race 350z's with after market starter on the driver, That would be perfect for my build
