Wut...I guess if my DE ever goes bad I know what i'm going to do. or just go with a 2JZ or a RB26 if I want to live dangerously.

 

Since we are on this topic I used to have a dream that someone put a VK56DE(Nissan Titan engine) into a Z33. Imagine... 5.6L truck engine in a Z, it only has 317HP but has a nice 385lb.ft of torque to shred the tires up. Does anyone know the potential of a VK56DE? I don't want to hear about any LS, 2JZ crap that's already been done.

The VK was a huge step in engine swaps for us. Then as big and talked up as it was it crashed and burned like mf. Theres a drift Z with a VK somewhere. Then all of a sudden LS hit the scene

 

Dont put the vk in. Ive been planning out a 1uzfe swap. Build one of those and rev it to 9k with a 4 liter engine... Cams rods pistons maybe dry sump is all you need to hold 1,000hp and you can put the z33 trans on it (theoretically). Youd have to go standalone, but mega squirt is affordable.

Imho the vq35 still makes more sense than 99% of the swaps at the end of the day

 

I still think the 350 should of had a RB26 or a VQ30DETT. Oh well, I still like the VQ35, it sounds amazing.

 

Agreed, if my next build goes POW, LSx turbo it will be.
