Default FI Upgraded Cams VS Stock Cams?

What kind of hp/tq gains will you see with upgraded cams? I'm running the greedy TT kit. Is it worth the money?

depends on your power goal? You are heading down a rabbit hole. Set a budget and set aside a budget.

what do you plan to tune with?

my goal is to make the most whp/tq with the lowest boost pressure.

If you're not making huge power, the advancing or retarding of the cams will play a bigger role than their lift and duration. I would tune with some type of management that gave me control over the cam position curve before shelling out big money for cams. Is the engine you're building a DE or an HR?

Sorry I should have been more detailed. I'll have a fully built motor and plan to run 16-18 psi. I would like to make close to 500 whp/tq on a mustang dyno.

You can make more than 500rwhp on stock cams. I have the Kelfords 272, on 17.4psi I made 601rwhp. A friend of mine has the GReddy setup on stock cams and he's making over 550rwhp. So do you really need cams? NO...Cams do come in nice though when you starting getting to the top end of the gears.

If you having your engine built, then getting cams would be a good idea.

if you are planning on 500 then save the cams money for something else since you can easily make that on stock cams

Not trying to be argumentative BUT If you are worried about a $1000

I wouldn't go FI.

not to mention how often we tend to want MORE power after such a short time.
