Default 2004 350Z Touring come with LSD?

Just recently purchased a 2004 Touring 350Z and while changing the diff fluids, I notice that it doesn't have LSD. I spun one side on the rear wheel and the other side did not spin at all. Do they not come with a LSD?

If I spin the right side of the rear wheel and the left side did not spin at all....does that mean it's broken or non LSD diff? Is there another test to confirm I have LSD? Thanks

Drive up a steep driveway at an angle to where one of the rear wheels somewhat lift up and there's no traction on one side. If you get stuck it's an open diff. Could be the previous owner took it off and sold it or it could be worn out. The factory LSD doesn't last forever, especially if the car's gone a dorifting.

I live at the entrance of my neighborhood. I have to go in on the wrong side of the divider so I can hit the driveway straight on because I don't like the shock on the driveline of the tire spinning then hitting the ground again and catching traction.

But going straight on I have to creep till the front wheels hit or else I drag the bumper.....

I'm not telling him to rev it up and floor it or do it all day long, every day. LOL Just a test for the OP to see if he has a functional LSD.

On the top of the diff about 2" away from where the diff connects to the drive shaft it will be marked in yellow. "GC" is an open diff. "GD" is a 3.5 VLSD and "GB" is the 3.3 VLSD. You will probably need a tiny mirror to see it while it, if it is installed on the car. This way at least you will know if your diff is toast or if it is an open diff.

That's what I was thinking.

You know positraction is the GM term for their limited slip rear ends right?
