what are you using the car for? how much are you willing to spend? best bet is try to find one in the marketplace. i picked up my quaife for $300, plus pumpkin swap.... but i got really lucky
do you have an open diff now, or the vlsd? some have went from the open to the vlsd and been happy. if you want to go that route, check out slidegood.com

it's easy
I needed something for my 08 Z so I checked on line for used parts.
I actually found a place in your state CT. that had a smashed up car there.
After making sure over the phone that the parts were perfect, I asked them to get them ready and I drove to pick them up. Another time a part I needed was far away so it was shipped.
As far as the part you're looking for, make sure it's from a Z model that has it. I believe ALL Z's except the BASE model have LSD. Just get the whole pumpkin, this way it's a simple swap.
As far as the stock unit being good enough? Just go to the drag section in the forum, go to 07/08 bolt on top 25 1/4 times. You'll see my name Andre12031948 there. My times were done with STOCK parts except the gears were changed to 4:08. NEVER had a problem/breakage. Most of the time I had 3:90 gears and found them easier to live with since my car was mostly stock Daily Driver.... Good luck..

I have a stock vlsd that I can sell you, out of the car and ready to ship.
If you are going to be doing track days on a road course and going through all the trouble, DEFINITELY get something better than the OEM VLSD. It may suffice for drag but on a road course you will be kicking yourself.
You still havent told us what kind of diff you want (torsen, clutch type, stock viscous)...you requirements will determine the best choice for you. There are significant differences, advantages and drawbacks to each type.
