Installing tomei 280 duration cams help
Good afternoon fellow z gear heads. The time has come to strap the heads to the block but my issue is the timing. I have read the directions over and over again. But for some reason the directions are making it harder than what they make it out to be. is there anyone that could guide me to a possible link for timing on these vq motors?
Sincerely Jose
also i have looked high and low for insulation write up but came up empty handed .

look in the DIY i have a thread in there on how to do cams.
Once you have the cams and caps in: grab the intake and exhust gears, place the chains timing marks in the correct position and have a friend rotate the cams so they are indexed correctly so you can slide both gear assemblies on at the same time.
Once you have the in/ex cam gears and chain on; and those tensioners released you can then lay the main timing chain. Put a pin in the main tensioner to relieve the tension. Align all the timing marks between the crank and cam intake gears; then go ahead and let the tensioner out and your done.
