'03-06 DE models use same transmission bolt pattern, clutch, flywheel, T/O, hydraulics, pilot bushing, etc. regardless of model transmission, CD001, 008, 009.
CD009 for HR uses diff bolt pattern, internal concentric slave cylinder, different hydraulic system (master, hose, etc). You can use an
earlier or later master for either early or late Z33 but best to keep with OEM or OEM-equivalent for year.
All later model ('07+ HR/VHR) CD009 transmission CASES (just the case) are all marked "CD5"
There is an I.D. sticker on the front of the case (which shows which specific model and/or build date it came from but is likely missing from the tranny if it's used). In that case, you will need to measure the bolt mounting holes and compare to your stock tranny or to bolt holes in the engine block. Also note that the earlier models had/have a larger opening in the bell housing where the shift fork enters the housing.
DE-specific version went by Nissan PN 32010-CD009 and superseded by Nissan PN 32010-CD00A (if you are searching for a new one).
Another telltale is that the CD009 GENERALLY has the "skeletal" shifter bracket versus the earlier 001-008 that uses a more solid bracket but that's not conclusive.... note the word "generally".
And FYI, early model trans cases (DE engine) for CD001 - CD009 are identified by casing number CD0. Later introductions ('06) are marked CD0 #2 (and e.g. #3, etc. I believe)
Hope this helps.

Clutch
Hey guys, I have a Cd009 trans and found a good deal on a ACT NZ2 HDSS clutch, will that work on the cd009 external slave cylinder even though it is for 07+?
This is going onto a vh45, if it will work, I will go with a 07+ flywheel as well right, or it doesn’t matter?
Are throwout bearings in same engagement locations whether it is internal slave or external?

I have read multiple threads on this topic and I'm still confused. My '03 Track is in need of a throwout bearing (and new clutch; I have 264k on my ORIGINAL clutch, it doesn't always engage smoothly anymore, and I feel a notchiness in my shifts, mainly between 1st, 2nd and 3rd, where it hesitates a bit to allow the shift **** to be pushed all the way into gear, and that causes issues when I release the clutch too early in expectation that it isn't going to get stuck).
I found a CD009 with a CDO#2 stamping (so it's from an '06, from what I understand), but I'm STILL not clear that it will fit my '03 Track DE. Does anyone know? There is no sticker on the transmission to confirm full part #, and the shifter bracket is not hollow on its tail.
