Anti Theft Lock Mode!!!!!!!!!!!! HELP,,,,,
Ok was out driving yesterday, shut car off came back to start just cranked. Goa a scanner hooked up code read Lock MOde... figured maybe key, so had a spare and got it started and home. went next day to start again nothing just cranks even with both sets of keys. Anti theft light on dash stays soild red when ignition is in acc position. I have tried all the things you can with keys, disconnecting the battery for a few hours, touching cables together for a few hours NOTHING... The system wont even let my buddy hook up his computer to even try and diagnose the problem. IS there a way to totally bypass the anti theft system all together?????? Without taking it to the dealer that's like my last resort because my car is slammed and really can't be towed, and of course it wont freaking start so really in a jam here...

Do you have any ecu upgrades? Think that you can bypass the security if you have a programmable ecu... Other idea is call a locksmith they sometimes have the computer in their moble van to program or reprogram the keys and computer.
If you have AAA they might even cover the cost or at least part of the cost.
Good luck

Not sure what it is. A Autel scan tool was used with updated Nissan software, it would communicate with the pcm but not the bcm.
I dont know for sure but it seems weird that it would crank if the key was the problem. Did it run like normal when you drove it home? And do you know what codes it had other then lock mode which I am unfamiliar with because my ubd2 mostly gives me a code and a hint of what it could be...
But honestly I dont think its your key if it still cranks, someone correct me if im wrong but if the key was deprogrammed it wouldn't crank.

Do you have an intake of any sort and have you cleaned and oiled the filter lately...
I would start by cleaning your MAF sensor... Also could spray a little throttle body cleaner in and see if it starts up for a second... Might not be getting fuel.

i am also having the same issue, its intermittent and both keys do the same thing, it happens every couple of days, when it happens the flashing light on top of the dashboard stays solid red, car cranks but does not fire. i searched a bit and most people says that its probable the NATS antenna, wich i do not know what the part looks like or have any part number for it. Anybody could help ?
It is not the key itself, it is the chip inside the key. The NATS will allow the engine to crank, it won';t allow it to fire. Semi-common problem and folks have tried a few different things to fix it with only limited success. Sometimes removing the key from the ignition, and then starting over, works.
So I got a 04 350z and the problem I’m having is crank with no start . My security light stays on when I turn the key into the on position and my fuel pump does not prime .
Bc the security light stays on I thought it had something to do with my nats system so I first tried to get a new key programmed . That didn’t work . I than went and took my ecu to d1Tuning to get a nat delete and stock tune in my ecu .
I got my ecu back and plugged everything back in and my security light is still on solid red and I still can’t get a check engine light to even see if there’s any codes & still no priming in the fuel pump.
Everytime I plug in a code reader it gives me an error code and no CEL pops up even when the car is in on position where all dash lights supposed to pop up.
Can someone please help me out I’ve spent 500$ on trying to get this car started this week and if I don’t get it started by today I’m gonna part it out . Any suggestions well appreciated.
