Default ISO:A strong clutch

Hello guys,

I'm new to the site and forums so forgive me if I break any rules. I have a 2006 350Z.
Lucy's Specs:
VQ35DE fully forged rotating assemply, ported and posilished with head studs not bolts
UpRev MAF GT and reflash
Deatschwerks 1000cc injectors and fuel pump / E85 only
XTD clutch and stock flywheel
Turbonetics 63mm kit@10lbs/15lbs/18lbs
AEM boost contoller
The exhaust I'm unsure becuase it was on the car when I bought it but I know it has a set of headers and true dual pipes all the way to the rear and no CATS
Full Vielside kit
Z rated 20inch tires
If more specs are needed let me know and I'll attempt to get the info you need. The problem I have is the car is doing roughly 394whp(not bhp) @10lbs, 444whp@15lbs and it managed to make one pull 515whp@18lbs. Afterwards we cut the CATS offf but we didn't make anymore dyno runs. The tuner said judging by the CATS we should gain roughly 30whp with them gone. When we have the car set to 18lbs the clutch can't take it and ends up over heating due to it slipping a lot and we have to shut it down. So my question is what clutch does the community recommend I use that can handle the 500+whp?

You have an 08 with a DE and old hood . Are you sure it is an 08 and not an 06 becuase that is an odd downgrade to do.

no you dont. you have an 03-06 because the HR motor will not fit under the old hoods, and you contradicted yourself by saying you have a DE motor. to me it sounds like you need a better tuner, and wider wheels and tires to pull off the wide body

gotta love bought not built cars

The rear wheels look like they need to go back about 3" to be in the middle of the wheel well and about 6" out to be flush.

Sorry my fault it is an 06. It's habit to type 08 as my other vehicles are 08. Thanks for letting me know.

They're 285/30R20 with a 1.5 inch spacer. Most of it is the time of day and angle.

As for your comment about bought not built, you know some people don't have time, tools or knowledge to build their own car so there for yes I paid somebody to do the work for. Besides does it really matter if it is a built or bought car when as long as I blow the doors off the car next to me? It people like you that give all car enthusiasts a bad rep. I came here looking for some help not trash talk. Besides are you any different? After all you own an over rated Vette. Is it not a bought car? The fact you choose to make a sorry *** attempt at smack talk to someone who's trying to make his dream car a reality just show your lack of maturity and intelligence. It's ok I wouldn't expect any less or more from a Texan. If it is ok with the rest of the community on this site, can I have some input on my clutch situation and not my body kit or wheels? If so I thank you.

P.S: @Travlee why the hell are you on a 350Z site when you own a Shitley? Before you even think it, no I most definitely am not jealous of it. But being as I can be a more mature man, Thank you for your input.

500 whp at that point just to be safe might want to start going for a twin disk clutch.

i have 700whp on my Z i run a twin disk no problems. most of the time i am not at 700whp i have the boost turned down quite a bit.

awww, i must have struck a nerve. if you were smart enough to research, you would get your answer on the clutch, the car has been out for 13 years everything imaginable has been done to it. why am i still on here, hmm maybe because i used to have a 350z and because it is a public forum... dont like me, idgaf

also, let me clarify for ya, when i said bought and not built..... i have a very strong suspicion that you bought the car the way it sits.... brand new member, new to him car. since you tried to turn it around on me, yes i bought they corvette and had all the work done to it, the previous owner didnt do
