Exclamation 05 350z Automatic Tranny Problems! please help me

I own a 2005 (late 09/04 produced) 124,700 miles 5 speed automatic z33 350z roadster. YEA, I am aware "sticks are where its at BRUH" and "convertibles are for females DUDE!" but I love this thing exactly as it is.

I have had it 2 days now and the tranny feels like its slipping. to go more into detail if I drive the car down the street and come to a red light step on the brakes then get ready to take off because it changed to green almost as soon as I stopped the car sits still revs 1k,2k,3k RPMS then hesitated/wiggles a little and takes off like it's gear spunspunspun then just gently caught and launches me at 3k not hard no bang just a slightly harder then intended on take off.

(side notes)

*NO CHECK ENGINE LIGHTS/NO CODES*

This has happened on a small hill and I began to roll back then gassed her a little and she finally took off.

also the convertible top only works in drive doesn't work at all in park and the switch is UP to put down and Down to put up... (figured maybe the whole drive/park thing could be related)

My Questions To You.

1.Is this normal?
2.What could it be?
3.What driveway tests can I do to get an idea of where my problem is?
4.What is the average price of your recommended repair?

(I have NOT tried anything yet as I know NOTHING about these trannys so I don't belong messing with one.)
How can I fix it cheap but right? (23 years old and making peanuts for pay.)

could be several things, take it to nissan for a proper diagnosis... then prepare to get raped. trans service can be costly

Does it do that in manual mode too? Unbolt and pull out the trans dipstick and see if the fluid looks/smells burnt. It should be reddish pink, not brown or black. Do you have TCS? does it do it when you turn off TCS?

That^^^ And make sure it has the proper amount of fluid to begin with...

Sounds like what my girlfriends Kia did before it burnt the tq converter after it sprung a fat leak on her commute home from work on the freeway. High reved and clunk shifted after that.

Luckily I did some wrench magic, bandaided it and we traded it in for her new accord lol

Before you feel bad that same POS dealership sold her that POS kia and never told her it was a 50k mile 2014 rental car and basically screwed her into paying full MSRP for it..

Exclamation Update.

UPDATE:

No returns. dealer hasn't even completed my flipping title work!

Yes I have TCS Yes it did do it with it off and on.

Yes It did it in manual mode in 1st/ gear. No smells or discolor

It did it on uphills and turns mostly (leading me to believe it was fluid related)

I checked the fluid and there was just a tiny tiny drip of the J-matic fluid on the tip.

UPDATE#2:

I added 2 qts of castrol nissan J-matic tranny fluid so far and the slipping has stopped (or atleast became alot less noticeable to the point where I cant tell)

I NOW have a whine under light throttle in 1st/2nd gear not loud in traffic it can almost be missed but alone on a back road in silence you can definitely hear it no feeling of grinding just a small smooth whine as I move up the RPMs it does stop if I let off the gas or up-shift.

The whine is probably just normal gear noise. It's strange that you would be low two quarts. Did you measure it while the transmission was warmed up? If you overfilled it you can cause the fluid to foam and starve the system. Do you have any leaks under the car? You can look at the service manual here. Jump to page 12 for the info you are looking for.
