Default Intermittent power now Tach stuck

I have a 2003 AT with Pop Charger only. Had for 5 years with no problems. Lately though the idle has been a little rough at stop. Underway it ran fine. Now it seems like it's missing. Today under normal power it seemed to lose all power for a half a second then come back. Then at the light the idle was rough and then it died. Never died in 5 years. Cranked right up but ran like it was missing. On the way home it ran OK but I noticed the tach didn't move from around 2600 rpm no matter what. I know you probably had a a thread on this already but I couldn't find it and I'm out of work and this is my only car. So I must get it fixed fast. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I'm in S. Florida (Fort Lauderdale) so If you know of a good, honest mechanic shoot me the number. Thanks again.

Another idea that won't cost anything is to trace and recheck all ground connections.
