AFR guage wire routing?

AFR guage wire routing?
Picked up a AEM X series last week. I’ve been poking around all over my firewall trying to find a good hole to get the wire to the wideband sensor but can’t find anything.
I don’t have a perminant mounting solution but for temporary plan on putting it around my steering wheel until I can get my boost guage and get a pillar pod set.
I found a wire by the brake pedal for the main wire loom but then I go to poke through it it doesn’t come out of the firewall. I’ve even looked in the engine bay as trans tunnel and there is no outlet for the loom there. It seems to go to the battery and even that’s a tight fit.
Where have you all snakes your AFR wires through the firewall to get to the exhaust? I’m not finding an easy spot for this.

I opened up my trans trim and looked in there too. I even looked behind the AC controls and found no holes. Did you have to make your own access port by drilling or did you find something?
Being my AFR guage is at that area that rout would be a decent spot to run it through.

I ran the power wire for my amplifier using a factory hole near the battery. You might need to remove the battery to find it. Don't drill anything! There is a place to pass the wire and still keep everything water tight. Check the audio forum maybe someone has picture of the exact location.
Edit... found a pic (not mine) in another thread.
here you can see with all the plastic removed where there is a large pass thru on the passenger side of the battery.

This is how I ran mine. All I had to do was cut the metal holding down the rubber boot and a small hole in the rubber boot. I then ran all the wires behind my stereo. Very easy and clean.

I ended up running it through the way JMI posted. Really clean and simple.
I also sent the wire through the fender and behind the wheel well cover to keep the wiring protected. I looked up in the trans and it looked like way too much work to get into.
Now I just have to figure out where I want to mount this dam thing. Pillar pod is the only half decent spot. But I’m not ready to hard mount it there yet.

No leaks and this was with like 4 gauge thick wire. There is a reason most of the factory wires go thru this location. Its high up on the firewall and covered with many plastic bits, so hard for water to get it there.

I was told I can wire the 12v red wire to the fuse box located in the driver side kick panel.
I have tried to wire in were it reads 10a elec parts under the ignition turned the key to on position and nothing happened.
Please help.
