upper oil pan

Default upper oil pan

So the motor on my 05 spun a bearing at 128,000 miles after owning the car for 3 weeks lol. I haven't had a project car in over 10 years but I decided to dive right in. The motor is out and I picked up a jdm motor for it. The new motor is clean but it looks like there might have been a small drip of oil coming from the rear main seal area. While I have it out I'm going to do the upper oil pan seal as well as the rear main.
From what I understand I need the front and rear oil pan seals. Is there anything else? Does anyone have any advise on rtv placement? How much to use? Any advise would be appreciated.

You will just need the seals and the RTV. Just a solid bead will do. Here is the insert from the FSM ..

That is perfect. Thank you so much. Could you put in the next page with the tightening sequence and torque specs please

You're welcome.

Here is the link to the full FSM in case you ever need to refer to it for future repairs / maintenance.

For the oil pan you will need to look under em.pdf (engine mechanical) and start at page 26. That way you have all tightening orders and torque specs which I highly recommend you follow. I did my oil pan not too long ago and it is not a task you want to repeat if you get it all back together and something leaks again due to flunked reassembly.

Awesome!!! I'm reading through it and I can't seem to find the torque specs for the upper pan. Am I missing something? Also is it saying to put thread locker on every bolt?

The bolts for the baffle plate, yes. Just a VERY small amount.
