2016 Murano 4x4 VQ35de swap into a 2004 350z?
Quick question to those well informed engine gods. I have an opportunity to pick up a low mileage 2016 Murano VQ35de that i would like to put into my 2004 350z.(if it fits). It appears that I would have to swap out a number of parts, but don't want to have to go as far as camshafts (due to not having so many valve shims with which to adjust the lash). Is this doable, or am I in for a disappointment? ANY help is appreciated!!
Thanks,
Ron

I have two donor engines for the 2004 - no help there? It looks like the front cover has more actuators than my engines do which i have no problem swapping out including the front cover if needed. I was not sure if the block, heads and cams are the same. it's either that or I rebuild one of the engines i have now. Your thoughts? Have you seen any threads on someone trying this?
Thanks,
Ron

Ron- compare the engine in the Z with the Murano VQ and you'll find there's differences in the block, heads and cams. Rebuild the VQ35DE in your Z for best results.
