So I recently purchased the transmission out of a wrecked 2003 Infiniti G35 knowing that the CD009 didn't come out until 2006. When I picked it up however I found the CD0#2 casting on the side which I thought was only on the CD009. I've done some research on these and there seems to be confusion about how to tell the difference. I know the sure fire way is to check the VIN tag with Z1, but my transmission does not have one. I'm thinking that the transmission was replaced under warranty by Nissan which is why it has no VIN. But I'm really not sure. Is there a way to tell if it's a CD009 without the VIN?
I do not believe this is an 09, I think its a CD0001. There is slight differences to the shifter mount on the 09. But in the end the only differences between all the versions is the syncro's.
