Default OE cast v Forged pistons?

It's my opinion that if you're running stock power, forged pistons are pointless and may even reduce engine life due to their extra weight and thermal expansion and OE cast pistons should be used.
Anyone think different?

The extra cost for forged pistons are usually the biggest factor if no gains are being sought. The OE cast pistons are high quality and will do nicely for a stock rebuild.
