Default 2005 ECU, BCM, and ignition in 2003

Hi guys,
I recently bought a 2003 350z. The previous owner swapped it with a 2004.5 engine and used the newer engine harness with the wideband o2 sensors but kept the 2003 ECU. I'm getting a SES light because of that for the upstream sensors. A tuner I talked to told me that he could "tune" the ECU to act like a 2004.5 ECU. Is that a thing that works? Also, if I swap in the ECU, BCM, and ignition from a 2005 model 350z, would it be plug and play without needing to code in anything? or would it be easier to swap in a newer ECU and recode the NATS/BCM?

You can't reprogram an 03 ECU to be a 04.5. Its just not going to work.

Easiest option is to get the correct ECU and flash it with Uprev to delete NATS. Very simple to do.

Thanks I will try that. A shop in my area mentioned that they can reset the ECU so it will work without disabling the NATS. Is that a valid option to try?

Thanks! Ill check with them as well. But just checking, I can directly swap the ECU without needing to change the BCM or the IPDM or anything correct?
