Default Gas Gauge after replacing senders

I replaced both fuel level senders, but no change in the level sensed by the fuel gauge. Is there something else to do to reset or calibrate the gauge after changing the senders?

It should be good to go. Is it not working? Not accurate?

It took time. At first, whacky. The gauge was a a quarter and a fill took 8 gallons. I drove 3 hours to the track (FIRM in FL) and back, plus lots of track time - after a number of drains and refills, the gauge is correct. It seems to take time for the computer to figure it out. On our last fill, we drained the tank until the empty light came on, then filled with 15.5 gallons. On-line search confirms, that 4 gallons is the reserve when the light comes on. Lesson learned - give the computer time to adjust to the new fuel level sensors. All good now.
