the 5 Zigen will not fit with coilovers....ask me how I know
I got one ready to sell to someone that is already painted black (I did not like the blue finish it comes with), and ground to curve around the Kinetix manifold if anyone wants

where does the damn thing mount?!?
Id think it would mount directly to the frame and then to the motor... any extra force directly onto the upper mount of a suspension stock or aftermarket coil over would be bad...

moog - I'll take one please..PM me
Jason - the 5 Zigen mounts on the opposite side of the strut tower than the pro 1 does. Although it does have a more rigid mounting system than the Pro 1, it is a bit trickier to install as well.
I wish I had snapped a pic of it while it was on my car (on for about 2 hours before we took it off to do the coilovers!).
basically, the pro 1 mounts towards the front of the car. The 5 Zigen mounts more towards the rear of the car, so the damper literally goes across the top of the strut. For a conventional strut, a Tein Basic, or any other coilover that either does not have dampening adjustment , or where dampening is adjusted at the bottom of the coilover, it still "should clear" (depends how high the coilover center nut mounts). On my setup (Cusco Zero2's), the adjustment is done on the top, so there is no possible way for it to clear at all.
