Default $160 for plugs? You smoking crack?!

Went to the dealer last night and had them change the oil and I was just about to have my plugs changed when they came and told me it'd be $160. I about pee'ed my pants hahaa... Any DIY install plugs. Any estimates of time, difficulty (1-10 wrenches), and gap settings for Denso IK22 plugs. Thanks in advance for your information.

DIY in about 45 minutes!! Curious on why you're using 2 degree colder plugs with your mods!

I'm going to Juice it in the near future or Turbo it in the not too distant future. Will it run bad w/ those plugs?

Denso is a great plug! DIY of 45 minutes once you figure out where to start and what to remove. The 2nd time goes even faster. Shouldn't have worry about gap or would want to.

Might want to consider ordering from: clubplug.net

Might want to look at the following sites:

densoiridium.com/powertechnology.php

denso.co.jp/en/

That's almost as good as $250 for trans flush and fill.

Just from what we have seen with our cars in racing.........

DO NOT USE A COLDER SPARK PLUG WITH THIS ENGINE IF YOU ARE TRACKING YOUR 350Z!!!!

Big mistake for tracking. So far the best plug to use is the OEM heat range plug.

The spark plug sits in a water jacket.the colder the plug it moves the the heat more into the water jacket......your water temps will go through the roof....then when the water temps rise....VVTC starts shutting down.

How are people having so many problems with IK22's? It's smooth sailing for me. I donno maybe because of the fact that my car was leaning out a little before I threw these plugs in but I actully made things smotther and haveing no problems with these plugs what so ever....... Evo R... you blew up 2 engines? I didne't know you caould blow up your engine with spark plugs.

you guys need to be using the H plug, not the std IK series.....IKs are far too short, and will cause the exact problem BJ described.

Let us know if you need them...we got plenty of the stock temp ones in stock, I can check on the others Monday. I guess I should add these to the site
