My auto 99 C5 ran a 13.0 with just an intake. It ran a 13.4 bone stock. I traded it for the Z and there is a huge power difference. However, no two LS1's are the same. I had a strong one. There are some vettes (or drivers) that can't break into the 13's. On the average every vette I saw run, which was a lot, was getting 13.0's to 13.6's. Very possible to get with a Z car.. in my opinion.

Yes thats at the track, but on the highway there are somany factors involved.
I actually beat a WS6 T/A the other day on the street, and we raced well up into 120-130.
The guy claimed he wasn't used to racing it. Said it was his brothers car. He also said he missed third at first.
He claimed that he brother's girlfriend has a 350z and he beats that all day long.
Is any of this true? I don't really care because I beat him. If anything it means I'm a better driver than he is.
At leasts thats the way I look at it.

Hehe, Yeah I've beat an older trans am (mid 90's it looked like) legitimatly, but I knew that WS6 should have beat me. It just goes to show what can happen when cars are relativly close to each other in performance.
Maybe I should have said I have a K&N replacement filter if thats even worth mentioning hehe.

Honda's?
Yeah everyday, I don't race them though but they rev on me daily (loudly) I feel sorry for them but admire their love and pride for their car.
Not worth me risking a ticket for a speed contest because it wouldn't be a race and it happens so often that the law of average would catch up to me.
Stock Z06 would be fun and a drivers race , Z06 owners around here don't like to play with me, I have tried. The one at the track runs 11's modified.

The Z06 really is a fast car, I had one before I got my Z (a few minor bolt ons) and it ran with equally modified Vipers all day long. I am not very impressed at all with the normal C5, I think there is more than 50 horse difference, and some of them have horrible gearing. If your Z is fairly modified go find a C5 (not a Z06) that thinks he's bad, get him a fired up so he just sits there and spins at the line, hopefully you can get a 2 or 3 car jump on it and they won't catch up.

Chevy should have got a little more aggressive with the C6 - I would have taken by trading in my Z. Motor wise the C6 looks like a beast but the damn things are just so fugly.

Either way, you've got a fast car there.
