The interior is awful, the fit and finish is poor, the gas mileage isnt great and after 60k mi you can expect to encounter some problems.I propbably wouldnt have traded it in if the c6 wasnt due out in sept. For the price of a new 350z(i paid 31,500 for the touring 6) its a nice car, it has great styling and a nice interior but a vette beater it is not. The c5 had awsome power but its styling attracts 60r old men and guidos. Try adding a 100 shot of nos if you want to beat a c5

I agree. First of all, the interior did suck, and at 80,000 miles -not 60, my C5 turned into a chevrolet. Waterpump, thermo, headlight wiring, belts, the list goes on- all had to be fixed/replaced. And more was to come -transmission, A/C.
But it was still lightning fast AND got 30 mpg highway and 20+ city. It had a much better mpg than my Z.
But now I'm in my Z and love it... once the F/I step is taken, I will have zero complaints.

What did you have on your Z28? A very close friend of mine bought a 2000 Z28 A4 with 2.73 gears. When it was stock the best he ever ran was a 13.6. On average he ran high 13's. We used to be about even in speed. He then put a 4.11 rear end and it dropped his time to low 13's with his best being 13.1. He then put headers and a lid he is running high 12's.
I love talking about my LS1's. I had MAC mid length headers an a QTP electric cutout. It was all N/A. I had a LS1 motorsports lid and a stock descreen MAF with Hypertech and a 160 thermosrat and a Yank 3200 tranny cooler with B&M cooler. What else been awhile, Nitto 555R's. oh yeah a K&N FIPK (ever heard of those?)
NGK TR55's, I want to say Taylor wires I forgot. Kenny Brown Double Diamond Sub Frame Connectors, BMR STB, I think with the intake and exhaust and the high stall and the tires and some weight reduction (stripped trunk and SS hood) it was nice.
I will find a pic. Ok thread jack for a sec, it also had a off road pipe, ah those were fun times.

Hahahaha.... HELL YES! It was extremely expensive! $800 quote to fix the waterpump.. I did it myself. $175 to replace belts.. and so on. Plus, the mods for the vette are about 30-40% more expensive than the Z.

Edit: Vettes are nice though and I do agree with you on that.
