Apexi SAFC II + Honda S2000 Engine Start
Just got my carbon fiber trim plate done with the Apexi SAFC II mounted. 3 hours well spent. Also installed the S2000 engine start. Pix...
As you can see I have removed the nav door for the SAFC install. But theres still a gap on the top where suppost to be the door. Any idea on what I should use to fill that space? I have thought of using the same CF plate, but that part isnt flat, so it will be a pain trying to flush the plate against the back. Any better ideas??
Oh yeah, the S2000 engine start works like a charm.

Nice phatmitzu...
You're interior is coming along nicely...i'm inspired.
I might have to ditch the idea of having a monitor in the NAV compartment.(stupid 04 nav compartment!)
Might just have one in the Double DIN area using a Kenwood/ Eclipse...then eventually putting the boost controller/ manage inside the NAV when the TT goes in.
Nice job with the s2000 start up button too!

So, what is your key ignition like now? Do you still have the start position, or did you lock it out somehow? If you have it, does it start the car too, or does it just do nothing?
Very cool though.

But if I decide to start the car with the engine start button, is basically the same, turn key to the on position, instead of crank it start, I just press the button. I bypassed everthing, meaning I dont need to step on the clutch for me to start the engine with the start button. I wanted to do that because it will be easier for me if I need to start the car from the passenger side.
For safety, I had it hooked up to the handbrake, so it will only work with the handbrake pulled. Just in case while driving the passenger decides to find out what does it do...
Oh, and its got a backlit. It will only light up when its in functioning mode(when the handbrake pulled and key turn to the on position).

Very nice and thoughtful mate!
And yes... how do you actually tune the safc? and where about do you wire the wire to? into the engine bay or just to the passenger side? (basically the same question as what FLYER asked)
cheers,
richie

Alright, this is an honest question, How much power can you expect to get from the SAFC2?
I think it looks really cool, but how much power would you get from it with bolt on mods?
I've thought about buying one myself. I have a plenum, intake, UR pulley, cats and a Borla exhaust. Would this be a worthwhile mod or would the $350 be better spent on something else?

When you install the "engine start button" is there a way where you can wire the button so that when you turn the key...the key itself cannot start the car? Just like the s2k where you are required to press the button. I don't want both.
I have an auto...since you've already accomplished this task I am assuming you may be able to answer my question because I CANT
