Default Engine Modifications & Beautifications !

At last spring reaches upstate NY and I am able to install some mods. Nismo CAI, obligatory Nismo oil and radiator caps, UR Crank Pulley, Samco hoses, carbon engine cover and cooling plate and JIC Magic Carbon Strut brace. Grounding kit was already done. Also fabricated a small piece for the gap left by the stock intake. No probs with the pulley except for trashing a ratchet (Stanley no good - bought a new Craftsman). Used a home made breaker bar with a buddy on the breaks in 6th and loosened nut from above. CAI was a bit fiddly but no probs. Also, installed Nismo sways DIY and had Eibach Pro springs installed as they were too much for me. Will post separate pics and comments on suspension thread (so good !). Waiting for the ECU to adjust to new crank pulley and CAI but instantly felt the difference. The crank pulley is amazing (and a work of art). Thank to Jason and all the crew at Performance Nissan for great prices and fantastic service - you guys are the best. Thanks to Andy at Evo-R for a sweat engine cover and again great service. Thanks to the gang at Intense for the cooling plate and hoses. Good service there also. What’s next I hear you ask ---- high flow cats and exhaust but still can't decide which. Then some body work and wheels. Oh and by the way – got a ticket a couple of hours ago on my first tip out after install doing 79 in a 55. He must have caught me slowing down . Think I need a detector. Oh well - now for the pics.

That is funny. I got this plate in March 2003 when I got my car. If you really want to know, I'm a Brit (from Wales in the UK) and I actually wanted 350 ZED (because we pronounce Zee as Zed) but it was 'taken' already. Anyhow, I then thought NY 350Z was a cool plate and it was available so I got. Simple as that.

maybe you two should go out on a date!

you could share the name and if you ever moved to san fransisco I think you could tie the knot!

sweat,.........

no, I think I meant sweet, (as you guys are sweet on each other!)

or do I really mean sweat? (as what you guys will be doing together!)

now don't get mad, I'm just joining in the fun!

It JUST clears the hood but I did have a few very small marks after first test run out so I stuck some tape on the hood where it would hit the strut to protect it. So far no obvious scratches and the tape works.
