Default How do I make sure o2 sensor isnt damaged?

Just as the subject states, how do I make sure I didn't damage the o2 sensor when I put my test pipes on. I know my CEL should come on anyways with no cats, but I know someone else who did their own high flow cat install and their CEL is coming on also.

no reason for a CEL with test pipes....

if you are getting a CEL you could have damaged the O2 sensor or its from a missfire

How much for some new sensors? I heard they are expensive. And can I just slap them on or does the ecu have to be told to accept the new sensors? (DYI or Dealer)
