Peculiar noise at engine shutdown
Have any of you noticed a strange sound, sort of like a printer when it cleans the jets, after turning off the engine?
The only thing I can think of would be the throttle mechanism, assuming that it IS in fact a servo of some sort.. Does anyone elses do this? Has anyone had the intake off while observing it? I can't help but wonder what its doing...
I captured this sound clip with my video camera (just audio), and besides the embarrassing belt squeek at the start and whistling caused by the supercharger, you should listen for the end when the engine is shut down. You will hear a very loud and distinct electrical/mechanical rukkus going on. I had the mic about an inch away from the throttle body and supercharger inlet manifold.

YUP...normal. I think it is the throttle body resetting or something....I am really not sure what the noise is, but it is a servo or electronic motor of some kind.
Well damn, it sounds cool kinda like a jazz drive starting up hehe.
Yea, I will take the intake tube off on my vacation next week and try to see if I can actually see what's happening. I'll get some video too if you can see something happening!
